Slice of Life #9Yesterday I got a student teacher. Her name is Sarah and she is from Virginia. I haven't coached anyone in this capacity since I worked as a professional developer in New York City. Today we sat and planned mini-lessons, deconstructed lessons, and she even taught two classes. We talked about books, movies and blogging. We discussed the use of hyphens, annotating books and the writing workshop. I like having her here because she is smart, energetic and dedicated to the profession. I lucked out !
